Take Yourself Spices
by Ilan Gitter

In ancient temples, scent was a bridge. Burning resins and herbs triggered altered states, marked sacred space. These rituals knew what neuroscience now confirms: Scent bypasses logic and goes straight to the limbic system, the seat of memory, emotion, and instinct. This fragrance uses that same mechanism. An ancient blend adapted for modern awareness. You don’t smell better by sniffing harder. Let the scent find a memory before a thought. Your response is older than language.

Ilan Gitter
Ilan Gitter is a musician, writer, and software engineer. He studied creative writing with a focus on poetry before spending several years as a nomadic funk musician, touring the United States as a guitarist, drummer, and singer. After shifting his focus to a career in software engineering, Gitter has continued to develop music privately, including electronic production and behind-the-scenes contributions to dance music projects. His current work brings these threads together in ways that explore memory, ritual, and multi-sensory experience.
